I went into a rite aide with a friend. got like 20 bucks worth of stuff. And at the register the cashier asked if I had a card. I turned to Amber my friend, and she let me use hers. When I got home, I noticed 51 cents on my receipt. Now if I walked in Rite Aide, and...

Rite Aid - Cigarettes Review from Atlanta, Georgia

1.0
Details
I have used the a Hercules RiteAid for the past 8 years. Doing many Western Union transactions as well as buying items. I am now 60. I wanted a pack of cigarettes and was asked to show my ID. This from a clerk who has known me for years. I recently lost my license, I gave him my temporary license, it lacks a photo He had to ask a manager for the OK. Since this is has happened before, I will not shop for the items that require this any longer. Bad sales practice, as you will now lose business, I will go elsewhere to buy. The corporate heads in the mid west should take their heads out of their *** and see that this practice is ridiculous. I am not under 21, and the clerk clearly knows this as I've been shopping for years He who lives by the sword becomes unneeded. In this economy they should take note. People who are my age and older are really put off by this. And will shop elsewhere.

Rite Aid Staff Review

I have been waiting for 1 hour to get my correct change back. I gave the cashier a $20 and 15cents my order came to 9.14. She gave me back a penny. This is ridiculous. I'm still waiting. I'll never come back here and will make sure I'll let everyone know.

Rite Aid in Lawrenceville, Georgia - Patient Privacy Ignored

1.5
Details
The Rite Aid location in Lawrenceville, GA at Russell Road closed their doors recently. They did not contact me as a pharmacy patient to explain that they were closing, instead they sold(according to a local unprofessional manager) my prescription information and gave my insurance and private information to CVS pharmacy across the street. I was informed of this by CVS not Rite Aid. My patient privacy rights were violated and Rite Aid could care less. I called three times and finally an e-mail to the board of directors prompted a worthless phone call from an area supervisor. The phone conversation was worthless, perhaps CVS did not learn their lesson when they had to settle claims for privacy rights in trash cans. If you do not care about privacy shop Rite Aid they certainly do not care.

The closing pharmacy should be and, most of the time, is responsible for notifying its patients the location is closing, when it is closing, and where its records are being transferred to.

The final comment should have referenced Rite Aid having to settle patient privacy as follows;Rite Aid to pay $1M for HIPAA privacy breaches

WASHINGTON | July 29, 2010

Rite Aid Corp. has agreed to pay $1 million to settle potential violations of federal privacy rules when the national pharmacy chain failed to protect sensitive customer information in disposing of prescriptions and pill bottles in store trash containers.

The settlement followed enforcement of the privacy rule of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) by the Department of Health and Human Services. In a coordinated action, Rite Aid signed a consent order with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to settle potential violations of the FTC Act, HHS said in an announcement July 27.

RITE AID DID NOT THROW MY INFORMATION OUT THEY ACTUALLY SOLD IT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!

I shop at rite aid almost every day. With that being said customers should not have to be treated with total disrespect and like them being there is a total nuscense. Not only have I been treated that way but the lack of respect for associates and the work they do. ...

Sound like a bitter employee, not a pissed consumer. Rite Aid and stores like it are depended on by their communities especially on holidays. And the majority of the people staffing the stores volunteer because of the extra pay.

Rite Aid in Atlanta, Georgia - Horrible pharmacy

This is the worst pharmacy EVER!!! They have a very rude and know it all pharmacist. The guy is a *** of the highest ordet. They alwasy seem to have new staff. I guess they can't keep anyone and I've heard it's because of this one pharmacist. The people working in the pharmacy are also rude and obnoxious. The upper management really needs to look into getting rid of this pharmacist. I've also heard many other people have left because of this ***. I will tell everyone I know NOT to take their rxs there. So,STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
