Disgusting service! Came to NY for my 50th birthday from the and have had a great time until I tried rite aid on 8th avenue. Asked for ID to buy a can of bud despite buying 2 cans without being asked an hour earlier!!! Told the cashier I had been served by the only...

Oh you had to show ID on a restricted sale item. It’s the LAW!

You know that thing you agreed to when you came into the country? Getting ID’d is NOTHING!!! I’m almost 50 and I love it when I’m carded!! Makes me feel younger!!

But I guess in whatever country YOU are from following the laws must be optional. Unfortunately the EMPLOYEES must also follow the law. There is some leeway if the cashier believes by your appearance that you are over the age limit. It doesn’t change the fact that is has to be done.

The cashier not recognizing you means at the point you bought your first beers there was nothing to indicate you required any special treatment. Meaning a in and out customer and transaction. When you do hundreds of transactions a day you can’t possibly remember everyone.

Maybe calm down and stop being butt-hurt over what is the law. You said you could do it, and yet when pushed to do so you go and whine about it.

I have been treated the same way at the Sebastopol, CA Rite Aid, especially by Angie the Pharm Tech. This Rite Aid is terrible, and likes to insult customers, deny them their meds for the most silly reasons, like speaking up when the incompetent Pharm Tech claims one's insurance card, issued by an insurance company is not right.

Rite Aid Store 4185 is the worst store ever, the store is dirty the staff is rude. In first place in rudeness is the store manager he looks like he doesn't know what he's doing, I wait like more than 20 minutes to buy one item. I'm not coming but ever again I used to love the store but the new management and his crew are very unprofessional.

Rite Aid in New York, New York - Worst Customer Relations Service I Have Ever Encountered

Long story short, what should be a simple process of of activating a Plenty Rewards account is time-consuming nightmare of corporate dysfunction, an inane phone tree, an alleged Customer Relations phone number that actually connects to the general Pharmacy, impossible holding time when finally asking to speak to a supervisor, double and even triple registrations that each time senselessly complicate check-out when using a phone number to identify membership. Frustrating to the point that I will go out my way *not* to shop at Rite-Aid. Seriously. I meant this: It's the *worst* Customer Relations service I have encountered in five decades of being an adult consumer.

Rite Aid in New York, New York - Store policy

Recently Recycling of cans and bottles has become an issue at this particular location on West 163. Street and St. Nicholas Ave in New York City. They don't want to accept them on weekends. I am a loyal customer of 20 years and feel slighted and disrespected. I am considering taking my business elsewhere on principle not so much the value. I am a hard working man who's too busy during the week to recycle and do most of my household duties on weekends. This is not a 24 hours location. Please let me know if you can resolve this issue.

Rite Aid Prescription Refills And Transfers Review from New York, New York

Cold hearted staff, came in to hopefully buy a rescue inhaler. Would pay cash. But script is with other pharmacy. It was 5 minutes before she was going to home and here i am having a asmtha attack and she closed the blinds on me. Told to go to hospital. Instead of calling 911 for me or help with with rescue inhaler. She pretty much could care less if I died in front of her. I hope karma gets her. Name is van in the randolph ma store.

I have visited the rite aid in Astoria NY on 30th avenue for the past three weeks and the pharmacy never seems to have an item which they "ran out of" I complained to the pharmacy manager and she proceeded to yell at me telling me" THEYRE NOT BEING DELIVERED!!!" At the top of her lungs and with the nastiest disposition. I can't believe they hire incompetent workers like this....

Rite Aid Staff Review from New York, New York

At about 7:15 this evening I went to store #00160, on North Plank Road in Newburgh, New York with my husband and 3 year old son. We had just left Big Lots (in the same plaza) and so we had a single white plastic shopping bag from Big Lots with four items in it - a toothbrush, cough drops, children's body wash, and cookie mix - if you must know. We went in to Rite Aid to purchase antacids, as I am pregnant and have been dealing with terrible heartburn at night. We picked Up a package of Tums and made our way to the front of the store when I decided Airheads sounded like a great idea too (hey, pregnancy...). We walked to the front of the store, no Airheads at the checkout. We walked to the candy aisle and found my Airheads, and we were looking for gummy bears for my husband as we were approached by an older store associate named Karen. Karen said to us "I need to search your shopping bag." Sure, no problem.. We handed it over. Then she asked for the receipt for the items, again we handed it over. Then she said "security told me they have you on camera stuffing candy in your bag." Meanwhile the bag containing four items and receipt for all four items is in her hand.. Then she told us that we must have "taken the items back out and put them on the shelf" and that we need to "leave the store." I have never dealt with somebody so RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. And to accuse two ADULTS of stealing candy, of all things?! We placed the Tums and Airheads on a shelf and left the store. Upset (and humiliated!), I walked back in and approached Karen at the register and requested to speak with a store manager about the incident. First she said "I am the store manager" which then changed to "there is no store manager here." I asked her for a phone number to contact her supervisor to which she responded "1-800-RITE-AID." Seconds later another associate (in plain clothes, with nothing identifying her as a Rite Aid associate) walked up, then Karen said "she is a store manager." This associates name was Alera. I asked Alera for the store managers name, as well as the stores phone number. She gave me the stores phone number and after asked repeatedly, finally said the store managers name is Sue.. Meanwhile Karen is mocking me, accusing us still of stealing candy, and that she will "call the cops!" Well, Sue will be receiving a phone call from me tomorrow. The behavior of the associates is completely unacceptable - degrading, disrespectful, and demeaning. All because a pregnant lady needed Tums! I will never utilize a Ride Aid store again - I will be sure our prescriptions are sent elsewhere.. And I will be sure everyone close to me does the same. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, but especially Karen of your Newburgh, NY North Plank Road store!
