Rite aid should be boycotted! Employees that work in the warehouse are underpaid and if they get fired without any consideratiin on how long they worked for the company or their work performance. I think an employee should have a write up, suspension and meeting to have all the facts presented before termination. HOWEVER, an employee can quit without notice and get rehired.

Rite Aid - Cashier Review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

1.0
Details
I was at rite aide on mt.Ephraim and atlantic in Camden. I was on lunch break another customer was being waited on for at least 10. mins., Because she had alot of cupons. I was in a hurry and the cashier was being so slow in all honesty I did get a little irratated. So i yelled to the back of the store "hey this guy needs help" He informed me he was the only one there and he was the manager (because his cashier was on break). So i said you have been on this customer for at least 15 mins. He told me if i was on a hurry I should go somewhere else. After 15 to 20 mins iam staying here. I told him I was sixty four years old and just give me my cigarettes because i dont have time to argrue with him. Then the man told me he didnt have time to argue with a old senile woman. I didnt call him out his name he had not right to call me out of mine. Then he refuse to serve me and said he was calling the police..because i had did nothing wrong i decided to wait for the police. He told the cashier not to serve me then retreated to the back. If I had been harrassed by the police for no reason (and i had witnesses) I would have sued you for embarrassing me among whatever my lawyer can do...this young mans attitude oneday may cost you more money than he is worth By time i got tired of waiting for his threat of the police. My nerves where shot and my Blood pressure was sky high..I will never shop their again ., however i will stop by to see DOES RITE AIDE REALLY CARE. My E mail is stellagrooveon@yahoo.com

Well while they were rude, when one resides in a country and wants to become a citizen, get a job ect, they should learn the language of the country. It is rude to just enter a country just because of benefits and not learn the language.

Rite Aid in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Poor Working Conditions

Store managers are NOT managers at all! They work harder than the associates, pharmacists, dm's, lpm's, lpa's (no accountability), wellness ambassadors (no accountability), and the list goes on. There is no communication between field leadership and in most cases they don't like each other. HR says (A), DM says (B), LPM says (C), PDM says nothing. The only time they are on the same page is when there is a visit to the area! If someone from corporate office is scheduled to visit all of field management wants to act like their on the job and managers are just not doing their jobs. As the manager you have a huge work load. The work load is being increased by the week but store payroll and managers salary rarely increases. Cost of living goes up 5 to 6% per year but they give you a 2% raise like you should jump for joy. And don't get me started on the bonuses! Rite Aid will always find a way to ensure you don't earn a bonus! Annual bonuses ensures that most managers who work hard won't earn them. I think corporate wants proper feedback from managers, but store managers will keep their mouths shut because either they are afraid to loose their jobs (blacklisted) or based off history nothing in will change. In this area we have a lack of minorities in field leadership, we have a good old boy system. No advancement unless you come from Pathmark! Some of field leadership will tell you that you are not ready to advance but never tell or show you how you can get ready for the next level. Most managers hate coming to work because it's impossible to achieve the goals that are in place. I really wish Rite Aid showed their managers how much they care instead of dangling the paper carrot. Store manager are burned out and would quit as soon as they find another job even if they need to take a pay reduction. Quality of life for a Rite Aid manager in this area is horrible. Yes, you are scheduled 7a to 5p but we have visitors coming and your store needs to be 100% visit ready. Then you have 2 call-outs one of which is a manager. And by the way truck is coming today, you have a shoplifter to apprehend, and core mark just delivered, seasonal change over is due, oh get the time cards signed, then you need to hire some new people, wait get all the first contact flu calls done, don't go over payroll to inventory prep, you know what don't even use all of the payroll corporate gave to you, then paint the building to get graffiti off, no stop and ring the registers, then tell the apa to get off his cell phone, then tell the "wa" to stop being a tech and assist on sales floor, then change over the monthly pp, then put up all these signs that have duplicates for some items (on sale monthly, and weekly), don't forget your shrink by number, did you complete the alarm test, what about your csa's, then shot zero's, and then hard order, but why do you have so much overstock, make the schedule, do the ad order, get cbt's done, complete plano-grams, dust the store, and don't forget to smile because with us it's personal! Store managers are not managers at all. they spend most of their time attempting to complete a long list of tasks that never seem to stop accumulating thus customer service fails, associate growth fails, overall manager and associate moral down (results of aes is misleading). Not one employee below field management believes that survey is anonymous. All things being considered most managers are holding their stores together by smoke and mirrors in this area. They are so over worked it pains them to think of anything else but how can I get out of here because we are being asked to do so much with so little. I'd like to think things can and will improve but my fear is that I won't be around to see it. By the time you finish reading this you might get the perception that I'm a mad individual but I'm not, more hurt than anything. So tomorrow, I shall return to work and again try to pull a rabbit out of this hat.

Could not be more true, the team above managers are two faced and sit at home and drive company cars, at the managers expense. The DMs need to go.

I get the impression this is a dying store. In the suburbs the stores are deserted.

In Upper Darby they have one store in a shopping center with a new Family Dollar and it must have taken away half their business. They have a paranoid security guard who looks at every customer as a shop lifter following you around. Throw in moody cashiers who get upset at interrupted conversations with security or another employee Rite Aid is not a friendly store/chain.

Prices suck as well. Even with the card the prices are barely competitive.

Rite Aid in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - I ask for one pill till Sunday and they said no. (Warminsfer)

I just can’t believe the ignorance of a supposed to be professional. I will be praying for you… It infuriates that people just judge others instead of trying to understand. I went to Rite aid and i ask for rejection pill and the Pharmacist said no. So on that note i pulled 26 Prescriptions out of Rite aid and moved them to CVS where they want out of there way to get me my medication. Rite Aid you need to help some people out with some of the small request. I have over the year spend a total of or if not more then twenty thousand dollars with my insurance. So you should always check with other drug stores for the cheapest price as i did.

Why did you need an extra pill? Oh I get it, you neglected to inform the doctor that you needed refills before you ran out even though the medication vail says you had no more refills, you probably didn't want to go see your doctor for a new prescription and expected the already super busy pharmacist to get in touch with your doctor and he/she was unable to reach the doctor since it was the weekend so you decide to chastise and blame the pharmacist for not giving you an extra pill.

Since you know that you may "die" if you don't have your anti-rejection meds then maybe you should be more responsible rather than blaming others. I'm sure the pharmacist was happy to see you go.

It is amazing to me how much drama people create without the tiniest amount of provocation. I guess you could blame me of the same, as I'm commenting here like the rest.

However, if you care - which I'm sure you don't - I was directed here while searching for some Wellness+ information and just started reading. As a disclaimer, I'll admit there are a few situations that could call for legitimate complaints and justified anger. These may include legitimate sexual harassment, discrimination due to age, race, weight, etc and the extremely rare moments where an employee might just 'lose it' and take their frustration out on the customer. Those justifiable situations seem to account for the minority of posts on this website.

To be honest, it was hard for me to find a post that wasn't centered around reasonable company policies and/or honest mistakes that could happen to anyone.

People expect businesses to take into consideration their personal issues and disregard their laziness or lack of preparation. Take the situation depicted in this particular post. Had the consumer done everything expected of them, there is no way they should need to ask for a policy to be broken and an unprescribed pill to be dispensed.

If it is truly "life threatening," than it is both irresponsible and downright moronic to put yourself in a situation where you do not have enough to live on. Complaining about it and claiming you'll pray for the company or pharmacist is childish.

Grow up. Praying will not make up for ignorance and stupidity.

Your message is cryptic. I believe your referring to 'Anti-Rejection' medication, and the pharmacist said he was not able to fill it?

Most likely, he could, but not within the time that you needed them.

You were completely within your right to move the medications to another pharmacy. Are you saying that all 26 were cheaper at CVS?

If you can afford it, there are pharmacies that have a 3-month prescription plan, that are a little bit cheaper.

In my case, I just can't afford 1 prescription. It's difficult, but I have learned to live without it.

.

In the past I've run into a situation were the pharmacy did not have the 'new' medication I was prescribed in stock in the quantity I was prescribed.

Once, the offered me a temporary small amount that would last 2-3 days until their supply came in. i was told, that they would be sure to order there inventory to account for my prescription. They handled that very nicely. Another time they just didn't have it in stock and I needed to go to another pharmacist.

Inconvenient, yes! But nothing I fumed over.

What is a rejection pill? If you speak the way you wrote you complaint, maybe they thought you were drunk when you asked for the pill.
